Overview
A mass of densely forested, impossibly steep hills, Arunachal Pradesh is home to 26 indigenous tribes, from the Monpas of Tawang to the Apatanis of Ziro. Known as the ‘Land of the Dawn-lit Mountains’, it is India’s wildest and least explored state.
A road trip through the rugged landscape will take you through its many magnificent lakes, waterfalls, and streams, snow-capped peaks, picturesque villages, terraced paddy fields, alpine forests, and impressive monasteries. Talking about monasteries, did you know Arunachal Pradesh is home to the magnificent Tawang Monastery, the largest in India and the second largest in the world, after the Potala Palace in Lhasa; and also the Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama?
This spectacular road trip will take you to some of the rare gems of the not-much explored Indian state.

Day 1: GUWAHATI to TEZPUR
• Meet your Co-travellers • Drive from the airport to Tezpur • Tezpur acts like our pit stop • First group dinner • Introductory session • Overnight stay in Tezpur
Day 02: TEZPUR to DIRANG
• Post breakfast drive to Dirang • En route stop at Tipi Orchid Centre • Stay in cottages run by women • Overnight dinner and stay in Dirang
Day 03: SANGTI VALLEY
• Breakfast in a setting close to the nature • Visit the Dirang Dzong • Visit TDL monastery • Transfer to Sangti Valley • Dinner & Over night stay in a Homestay (Riverside)
Day 4: DIRANG to TAWANG
• Post breakfast we stop at various stops • Visit Nyukmadung War Memorial • Sela Pass and Lake • Jaswant Garh Memorial • Overnight dinner & stay in Tawang
Day 5 TAWANG
• Visit the monastery • Chuksom bridge and Tawang War Memorial • Overnight dinner & stay in Tawang
Day 6: TAWANG
• PTSO lake • Bumla • & Tsangetsar lake.
Day 7 TAWANG to BOMDILA / DIRANG
• Beautiful drive post breakfast • En route stop at Jung Falls • Overnight dinner & stay in Bomdila or Dirang
Day 8: Bomdila/Dirang to Guwahati.
One last long drive! Overnight dinner & stay in Guwahati
